The Conservative Cabinet is due to make its final decision on the Secondary School Review on Wednesday May 14th. Liberal Democrats put forward a number of suggestions at the full Council meeting, and will be checking to see that these have been taken into account. There have been big decisions taken by the Conservatives on parking charges and home care charges. Both these decisions have been heavily opposed by the Liberal Democrats and were called in. Some concessions were made on parking, but the Conservative Cabinet Member ignored all the points raised on care charges, and the elderly and vulnerable will be the worst hit. Our Councillor pages will soon be updated to include all of the Council committees that our Councillors sit on. If you have a particular interest in one of these areas, then why not get in touch with one of the Councillors in that committee? Of course, your local ward Councillor will be happy to contact them on your behalf.
