Your Lyncombe Councillors are David Bellotti and Katie Hall. David and Katie work hard for Lyncombe and do their best to keep local residents informed.
Cllr David Bellotti
David was born in Exeter, Devon. He holds a Master of Arts Degree in Education Policy and Decision Making, and is a qualified Counsellor and Youth Worker. He now works full time as a Liberal Democrat Councillor. David is married with two children and lives in Lyncombe.
David has been active in public life and is an experienced councillor. He has served on town, district and county councils and as an MP for Eastbourne - David was the first ever Liberal Democrat MP to be elected. He was Chair of Sussex Police Authority and Chair of East Sussex County Council. He was also Chair of Governors at Lewes Tertiary College. More recently he was a non-executive Director of Connexions West of England and of LACORS (Local Authorities Coordinators of Regulatory Services). He was Chair of B&NES Council 2008-09. David is currently Deputy Chair of the Children and Young People Board at the Local Government Association.
David believes that the Council should listen more carefully to residents and involve them in its decision making processes. He has always believed that a Council's priorities should be to support older people and to give children the best possible start in life.
Locally, David is keen to preserve the conservation area in Lyncombe, reduce the speed of traffic, support local shops and keep the neighbourhood clean.

Katie Hall
Katie Hall and her husband Adam have two boys, Oscar (7) and Rufus (4), who both go to Combe Down Primary School. Katie says, 'This is a great place, with lots of character, and a good sense of community - together we can make it even better.'
Originally from Durham, Katie studied chemistry at the University of Leeds, and has lived in Brussels, London and Amsterdam. She worked on local, national and international policy issues. Katie was a speechwriter to Paddy Ashdown and has experience in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.
Katie has a long-standing interest in environmental issues. She would love to see an integrated approach to traffic, public transport, congestion and parking in Bath. 'Our city's congestion causes problems for residents, businesses and visitors,' says Katie.
Katie has recently been involved in fundraising for the school PTA, helping run children's clubs at St Stephen's Church, and as a regular volunteer at her children's school. She spends a lot of her spare time in the park with her boys.
