Don Foster comments on RUH improvements12.00.00am UTC (GMT +0000) Wed 21st Jul 2004
Commenting on the news that the RUH is now a 'one star' hospital, with improvements across the board, Don Foster said "It is very good news that Royal United Hospital Bath has "turned the corner". "After two years of turmoil - and two successive zero star ratings - it would seem the hospital trust is now on the road to recovery. "There are, of course, further service improvements that will need to be made but to see progress like this in all key areas will be encouraging and reassuring for the people of Bath. "I am particularly pleased to see that the trust has committed itself to a five-year plan aimed at turning RUH into one of the premier hospital trusts in Britain. This is the first big step on that road."
