Winston Duguid is an active and dedicated member in the Bath community. Winston resumed his political activities in 2016 when he was motivated by the threat of the Conservative Party divisively taking over Bath. In the 2017 General Election, Winston served as the election agent for Member of Parliament Wera Hobhouse. Winston first moved to Widcombe and Lyncombe in 1981, and by serving as Councillor there, he wants to ensure that Widcombe and Lyncombe is a place where residents can afford to live, work, and receive an education in a safe and healthy environment. Winston wants to tackle climate change, and create a holistic plan that aligns business, housing, transport, and the community in meeting an ambitious carbon neutral goal. Winston also wants to protect BANES’s functioning capacity, which has suffered under the Conservative administration. His previous experience includes an executive career in the manufacturing industry, serving as both a divisional director and a managing director of a major British company. In the past, Winston has served as a school governor, and currently serves as a non-executive director with three organisations. A graduate in social sciences, Winston also has an MBA from London Business School. Winston is married with two children, and plays for the Somerset Seniors cricket team in his spare time.
