Councillor for Weston
Ruth Malloy has spent most of her life in Bath, and first arrived in Weston in 1962. Currently, Ruth works part-time as a freelance proofreader and translator of the German language. In the community, Ruth is a regular volunteer with the Weston Litter Group, Love Weston Café, Love Weston Library, and the Royal United Hospital Macmillan Centre. A member of the Bath-Braunschweig Twinning Association, Bath for Europe, and having previously lived in both Germany and Italy, Ruth understands the importance of maintaining and developing friendly relations throughout Europe. A supporter of electoral reform, Ruth believes that proportional representation is essential in allowing the voters’ voices to be heard. Ruth also enjoys spending time with her two daughters and husband. Now elected, Ruth wants to work to improve people’s lives in Weston, the city of Bath, and further.
